Software Deployment FAQs

How does remote software deployment work in Devicely RMM?

Devicely RMM uses a lightweight Windows agent on each device. You create a software package in the dashboard (or use an existing one), select target devices or groups, and click deploy. The agent downloads and installs the package silently. You see real-time installation status for each device.

Can I deploy software to offline devices?

Yes. If a device is offline when you trigger a deployment, the job is queued. When the device reconnects and the agent checks in, the pending deployment executes automatically — no manual follow-up needed.

Can I schedule deployments for off-hours?

Yes. Devicely RMM lets you specify a deployment start time and maintenance window so installations happen overnight or at weekends, minimising disruption to users.

Can I uninstall software remotely?

Yes. You can create custom uninstall templates and execute them across multiple devices simultaneously. This is useful for removing decommissioned software, unwanted applications, or security risks fleet-wide.
